'Echo chamber' is an odd thing to say. X has many center left and hard left accounts, they're not banned in the same "women can't be men" was during Woke 1.0.
The game has a cool moment where the hero defeats Loki's minion by pushing him into some water. Loki then spells his blood in the water, reviving and corrupting the minion.
You beat the minion, but to leave the area, you need to bathe in the same blood, and become corrupt like the monsters. You then return to your village, giant and powerful but no longer a person.
I'm disappointed the game didn't lean into that more. Loki says you will be rejected as inhuman by Odin, but Odin just lets you cross the rainbow bridge without even commenting on your
corruption. Also it doesn't show any reaction from the villagers.
I am imagining a company having just purchased a new datacenter and awaiting deployment of their model finding there is already a model running and they didn’t install it.
He wanted them deported for camping permanently in public spaces? If you think people have no choice to do that based on their race we both know who the racist is.
Is there already a law against camping in public spaces? Apply that law. Any treatment of groups other than according to the law (when the law itself makes no mention of a discriminating attribute) is racism/sexism/etc. One law for all right?
Are you under the impression that I am the co-founder of GNOME?
I was speaking to the conspiracy theory here, that the donations to Omarchy are just a passthrough to unsavory organizations.
It’s, at least, plausible to me for two reasons.
1. Omarchy is just a pre-configured Arch install and doesn’t require large donations for maintenance.
2. The donators (Lutke and Dell) are all Trump-adjacent or have expressed authoritarian views in the past. Lutke, for example, advocates stripping poor people of the right to vote and giving the rich more votes.
He has dehumanized minorities and alluded to using violence against them. I’m not interested in debating whether or not that’s fascist or not. It’s shitty behavior indicative of the modern far right.
The conspiracy theory is that these donations aren’t tech related but are dressed up to be. And that I find plausible given the behaviors of the modern right.
The thing is DHH isn’t a fascist: he doesn’t want a state controlling everything and certainly doesn’t want an ethnostate for whatever his ethnicity is. That’s a bizarre and very serious claim to make. He’s just a normal person that happens to be right wing.
I noticed Claude Opus 5 did this about 30 minutes after reading your comment. In a discussion of price feeds that have gone silent, Opus said - program should fail closed. I don’t want my circuits operating without data!
